Due
to the machine design capability, a wide range of shapes
and sizes can be produced. The machines's broad range
of length to width rations provides for not only circles,
but also rectangles with large or minimum corner radii,
squares, pentagons, hexagons, semi-circles, kidney shapes,
and even some shapes with insets. With regard to a particular
shape, drawings need to be submitted to the factory
for analysis.
The
Topmaster is unique in that no other woodworking machines
combines the three functions of shaping, grooving and
installing T-molding. It is also the only machine that
automatically notches the T-molding barb, and automatically
cuts off the T-molding to length.
The Topmaster is designed for high production. It utilizes
a turntable and a template system to perform each function
on the work piece. A 1-1/2 to 2-1/2 ton clamping cylinder
holds the panel in place on top of a template. The turntable
is started into rotation and then the shaping, grooving
and banding arms are brought into the panel consecutively
to machine and finish the part in one continuous operation
in less than two minutes.
